The University of Abertay have announced a new scheme to help support and create jobs in the UK games industry.
From their website:
"If you are aspiring to create a new games development company, or run one already, you can apply for up to £25,000 of support to create a prototype of your own IP.
Your application will be judged against criteria such as the relative level of innovation, the line of sight to market, the talent level of the applicants themselves and the potential to achieve the outcome within the resources available.
In addition we will also work with commissioning partners interested in stimulating a new supply chain incorporating small games developers or similar companies, who will retain their original IP.
We will accept applications either directly without such commissioning or indirectly via commissioner interest."
